Can police enter my home without my permission if my daughter is on summary probation?

My daughter is on summary probation. The sheriff and police came to our door asking questions about a robbery. We cooperated and answered questions. They asked if they can search my apartment and I said no. I am not on probation, nor do I have a record of any kind. At that point officers forced their way in pushing me and threatening to arrest me for obstructing a police officer. Yelling and screaming at me in my face in front of my toddler grandson and my other daughter who is not in trouble. Could they have in fact pushed me and threaten to arrest me because I said no to a search?
