On Thursday November 7 San Diego county police released the photo and description of a man. The individual in question is a wanted fugitive. Reports referred to the man as Jaime Margarito Reyes.
Reyes, age 21, has two outstanding felony warrants for his arrest. One of these warrants is out for him being a felon in possession of a firearm, as well as stolen property. This weapons charge, however, is in addition to the second felony warrant, which is out for felony vandalism. Reyes is a known member of a gang.
As a result of his gang affiliations, he is often known as Shady by those who he has ties to on the street. As well as the San Diego area, Reyes has been known to frequent the North County region. He has been seen in Fallbrook on some various occasions.
Each month the San Diego county sheriff's department renews their efforts to find a person who is wanted for committing some crimes. The office works along side Crime Stoppers and the Fugitive Task Force. Those with information about his whereabouts should contact the Crime Stoppers organization.
They may be eligible for a reward for information. It is obvious that the police department is very serious about collecting information that would lead to an arrest in this particular case. Evidence collected might later then be used in a court of law.
Nevertheless, San Diego police are not encouraging individuals to approach Reyes. Those who see him are expected to treat him as though he were armed and dangerous. Police are suggesting that those who have contact with him contact them instead of approaching him.
In spite of this even those who have evaded outstanding warrants are still deserving of the basic rights to trials that everyone receives. Attorneys are able to put together defense cases for even those who may not appear to have any defensive position to stand on. Naturally their behaviors before and during an arrest will make a great deal of difference when it comes time to actually handle the situation in court.
