Michael LaFay graduated from the American University Law School in Washington, D.C. in 1983. He was admitted to the NY Bar in 1984 and the FL Bar in 1985. He is board certified in Criminal Law by the FL Bar and has achieved an "AV" rating overall by Martindale-Hubbell. He has practiced in Central Florida as a trial attorney for the past 22 years and has litigated over 250 jury trials. He has served as a criminal defense attorney and also as a prosecutor with the Office of Statewide Prosecution where he specialized in white-collar offenses, racketeering and narcotic wiretap/conspiracy cases.
