I was convicted of a DUI 6 years ago. Can that conviction be expunged? And if so, can it still be used against me?

In California, DUI's can potentially be dismissed pursuant to PC 1203.4 (ie. expungement). There are benefits to doing this, including when applying for jobs. Even is the DUI is expunged, it is still priorable should you receive another DUI. At this time in California, DUI's are priorable for 10 years from your previous DUI arrest. There is more information about expungements in California at http://1duilawyer.com/practice-areas/expungement/ . Feel free to contact me should you have any additional questions.

I can only advise you regarding California law, which is a follows: Yes, you can get an expungement but is discretionary with the judge in the case of a DUI. The DUI will still be priorable for ten years from the date of your original violation, regardless of an expungement.
