I am on probation for bad check can I also be put under probation for sex offense?

I was placed on probation Jan 9th for a bad check. I was going to my monthly appointment with probation officer and was told I have been given a new one that handles sex offender probation because I had a prior sex offense. I was told that they really don't know what to do but looks like I'll have to go to therapy and limited internet access and other stuff. I think this would be double jeopardy under punishment phase? Can probation do this to me?

Generally, yes. The probation department can put any restrictions it wants on you. Your recourse would be to ask the judge who sentenced you for the bad check to modify what the probation department did.
