California Supreme: Did they take some action on Medical MJ?

I heard a rumor that the California Supreme Court took some action yesterday as concerns the recent ban on medical marijuana enacted by the Los Angles City Council. I can find no media or any other reference on the Court's website. Does anyone know anything about this?

An update on this issue. The Ca Supreme Court granted review, last year, of the Pack v. City of Long Beach case. A few days ago, they dismissed review. The Pack case had been an appellate decision that municipalities, Los Angeles included, relied on in creating outright bans on medical marijuana dispensaries. By the Supreme Court accepting review, and then dismissing, the original appellate decision can no longer be published, or cited as precedent, because of Rule of Court 8.528(b)(3) unless the Supreme Court makes a specific order. (appellate specialists can correct me here if need be.) It basically means that one of the major pieces that had seemingly allowed outright bans on dispensaries is gone. The Supreme Court has a few more similar cases on their docket, so look for more changes in the laws over the next months.

I think the supreme court has not acted on the matter yet, because the city council itself only acted [negatively] yesterday: http://www.procon.org/headline.php?headlineID=005105
